New Year’s Day is synonymous with fresh starts and ambitious resolutions, many of which revolve around food. In its ads especially created by Cossette for the Bye Bye 2024, Metro takes a playful jab at the well-known tradition of making—and breaking—New Year’s promises.
Through a series of humorous New Year’s Eve vignettes, endearing characters share their resolutions with conviction and lightheartedness, not realizing they are easier said than done. Eating more vegetables? Packing lunches for work? Cutting down on salt? Quebecers will undoubtedly see themselves reflected in these relatable good intentions.
As one of the main sponsors of this iconic end-of-year television event, Metro reminds everyone that, resolutions or not, A Taste for Life, and it’s there to support the special moments shared around the table.
