Mental health organization Revivre becomes Relief
by
Cossette
Mental health issues are increasingly prevalent in our society—social isolation, changes in routine and stress related to uncertainty are contributing factors experienced by many people during the pandemic.
According to a Statistics Canada study, in July 2020 approximately 45% of working Canadians reported mental health concerns since the onset of the health crisis, up from 31% in 2019.
That’s why Revivre, which specializes in supporting people living with anxiety, depression or bipolarity, turned to Cossette for its rebranding. The work paved the way for the organization’s rebranding with a new name, brand platform and website, which went live on May 15. The illustrations that appear on the site were created by Cossette and animated by Tonic DNA.
Our mission remains unchanged, its main objective being to assist people living with anxiety, depression or bipolarity and their loved ones through a support program. We simply wanted to update our brand to raise awareness and spread the word about our services, both in Quebec and in the rest of Canada. It’s also why we chose a name that resonates in both languages.
Josée St-Amand, Senior Lead, Growth Marketing at Relief
We proposed Relief for the new name because, like the 3D maps that show different elevations on earth’s surface, it symbolizes the many ups and downs people have over the course of their lives. Our intention was to create an identity that was calming, comforting and sensitive to what people are feeling. I think it’s important for a brand to inspire emotion so that it resonates with the target audience. We’re committed to providing Relief with advice and support during its transformation because we firmly believe in its mission and are convinced that, being a brand of its calibre, it will become a leader in mental health.
Anne-Marie Clermont, Assistant Creative Director at Cossette
The collaboration earned Gold in the “Motion Graphics – Offline” category and Silver in the “Graphic Design Illustration” category during the 2021 Advertising & Design Club of Canada (ADCC) Awards.
