When hockey returns in the fall, fans know that it’s also time for a brand-new McPlayerTM campaign from McDonald’s Canada. It’s a can’t-miss event every year in Quebec.

For this latest edition, Cossette created a fun, fiery campaign that once again stars Cole Caufield. This time, the popular right-winger takes part in increasingly epic adventures to promote the new Spicy McChicken®, which has made its official debut on the McDonald’s menu. In a larger-than-life universe, the new spicy chicken sandwich has spectacular surprises in store for the young player, which suits his personality to a T.

It made perfect sense for us to continue our collaboration with Cole Caufield for the McPlayerTMcampaign for a second year running. As well as being a Quebecers favourite, Cole beautifully represents our brand values with his energy, contagious positivity and engagement with the community.

As well as Cole Caufield, McDonald’s Canada called on beloved sports commentator Ron Fournier. This Quebec radio legend came out of retirement for a cameo that’s sure to delight more than a few hockey fans.

The new sandwich’s intense, fiery flavour and Cole’s warm personality encouraged us to add a little spice to the latest in the McPlayerTM series. We pushed the limits of reality to create a fantastical experience for Cole and the general public.
