Cossette has named Jean Hugo Filion as Senior Vice-President, Business, and has welcomed Vanessa Cherenfant as Vice-President, Business Lead.

With over 20 years of experience in marketing communications, Jean Hugo is known for his strategic thinking, unfailing business acumen, passion for creativity and innovation, and commitment to nurturing young talent in the industry. With Cossette since 2005, he’s helped global brands—such as L’Oréal, The Home Depot, General Mills and Google—accelerate their success in Canada as well as homegrown brands—such as La Maison Simons and Liberté—expand in new markets. His portfolio also includes several international projects for organizations such as Destination Canada and the Alliance de l’industrie touristique du Québec.
As part of his new role, Jean Hugo will have the task of diversifying Cossette’s service offer by further developing its consulting expertise and digital solutions. By ensuring leadership for these teams, he’ll see to cultivating and growing these areas of activity that will benefit both the agency’s clients and the entire Plus Company network.

The agency has also strengthened its strategic consulting arm with the arrival of Vanessa Cherenfant, an inspiring leader with a proven track record of rallying multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative projects and easily adapting to a constantly evolving world.
An engineer by training and a veritable intrapreneur, Vanessa has nearly 15 years of experience in consulting, business strategy and new product launches. After maximizing organizational performance for Québec powerhouses like Bombardier and Createch (Bell), she pivoted towards a career in technology, where she contributed to the success of various start-ups and consulting firms. Her personal mission is to build a world that offers equal chances of success to everyone. To that end, she sits on several major committees and boards of directors, including Télé-Québec, and mentors a number of young tech startups through programs such as Next AI.
Vanessa will hold the position of Vice-President, Business Lead, orchestrating Cossette’s consulting service offer with the support of Jean Hugo, as well as taking charge of crafting business plans and managing operations for the team dedicated to these services. The agency will be able to benefit from her impressive background to grow the various types of expertise within the group and ensure synergy.
