McDonald’s releases limited-edition McNuggets package just in time for NBA playoffs

Fans of the Toronto Raptors and McNuggets in Ontario are getting a chance to slam dunk their favourite food with a new limited-edition box, created by Cossette. The 20-piece “Raptors NuggNet” box (complete with a fold out net to hold your favourite dipping sauce) marks the first time McDonald’s Canada has modified the classic McNugget packaging in this way, retaining the original structure but making it more playful and interactive for guests.
McDonald’s and the Raptors are both iconic brands. This design is an engaging way to extend the Raptors experience to more fans across Ontario.

The NuggNet box is the latest component of the McDonald’s-Raptors partnership that launched in October and has included TV and online ads, contextual courtside signage, free fry giveaways via the My McD’s app and a new visual identity created by Cossette for the partnership, integrating the iconic golden arches with the Raptors’ logo.
The Raptors NuggNet box is available in McDonald’s locations across Ontario now and will launch with a live event in Toronto April 13th where fans can show off their epic dunking skills. In addition, the campaign will reprise the #Nuggetiquette TV spots featuring Raptors Danny Green and OG Anunoby.
This is another chance to reinforce the partnership between McDonald’s and the Toronto Raptors, but more importantly, for Raptors fans to have some fun during the playoffs showing their Nuggetiquette in a new way.
