The METRO inc. family of food and pharmacy banners have come together to wish Quebecers a happy new year during Bye Bye 2021, the most highly anticipated end-of-year television show in the province.
To this end, Cossette developed a playful ad leveraging the central element that unites all of its brands—the vital role they play in people’s daily lives.
As the famous song by Ginette Reno says, what’s important in life is to spend time with the people you love—your family, your friends. But to be able to enjoy these moments to the fullest, you need to pick up a number of essentials, from food and cleaning products to diapers and bathroom tissue.

In light of what we’ve been through in the past two years, we think that in 2022, it’ll be time for our customers to get back to basics—and the METRO family will always be there to help them do just that. It was crucial that we speak as one to deliver this important message to Quebecers.
