Waking up on the right side of the bed is easy with McDonald’s Canada

To promote the new Chicken BLT McMuffin® breakfast sandwich, the brand is launching a new ad campaign that promotes good morning vibes.
In a spot directed by Le GED that’s styled like a music video, the centrepiece is a funny choreography where talented dancers groove to a popular ’80s song in Québec called “Pied de poule” (“Chicken feet”). Hip-hop group Alaclair Ensemble’s record producer Vlooper remixed this big hit by Marc Drouin and Robert Léger, just in time for the track’s 40th anniversary.
This is a tailor-made anthem that will introduce a classic Québec tune to a new audience, while giving a hit of nostalgia to those who knew the dance song pretty well. It’s a continuation of the McDonald’s Canada campaigns from the last few years and allows the brand to resonate with the culture, speak specifically to its Québec audience and surprise its fans with entertaining ads.
Cédric Audet, Creative Director at Cossette
Different social media ads were created to offer genuinely engaging brand experiences—in particular, a TikTok tutorial was made so viewers can learn the dance themselves.
The ads will appear on TV, on the radio, online and in signage, until August.
